About Me...
Born in Washington DC and raised in Montgomery County, MD, I'm familiar with the fast pace and rich diversity of the DMV region. I graduated from Winston Churchill HS, Penn State University with a BA in Psychology, and the University of Maryland with an MSW. My professional career has focused on mental health care across multiple settings with the last 15 years specializing in eating disorder treatment. In addition to eating disorders, I treat other mental health conditions including anxiety, depression/mood disorders, and adjustment/life transition issues.
My passion in my work is in the authentic connection that develops through the therapy process. I relate well to both adolescents and adults and enjoy working with a variety of ages and developmental/life stages. As an independent, solo practitioner, I value the high touch service I can offer my clients. That means I am personally answering my phone and responding to emails on the same day. I make time to collaborate with other professionals involved in my clients' care and refer out to trusted colleagues as needed. I offer flexible hours and am typically able to accommodate schedule changes. I have great compassion for my clients and their families who are often juggling multiple demands on their time and schedules.
I am licensed as an independent clinical social worker in Maryland, DC, and Maine. I am a registered telehealth provider in the additional states of Florida, South Carolina and Vermont. South Carolina verification may be found at the following link: https://llr.sc.gov/TeleHealth/SocialWork.html
Some additional states offer a continuity of care provision for therapists to continue seeing their clients via telehealth when they are temporarily residing in those states, such as college students.
